Hi everyone!

My name is Julia (aka QveenJulia), and in honour of my dog Matzahs bark mitzvah and my 25th birthday I wanted to do something special.

My dog Matzah was rescued from an illegal puppy mill in South Korea and has been my sidekick ever since. His bark mitzvah is about honoring his journey, but I also want it to be about giving back.

So in honor of this sacred (and slightly ridiculous) occasion, I’m raising money for the Israel Guide Dog Center, a nonprofit that trains guide and service dogs for people who are blind, have PTSD, or other disabilities.

These dogs don’t just help people, they transform lives. After seeing how matzah has changed my life, I want to help people who need it the most experience that same loyalty and unconditional love.

If you would’ve gotten me a birthday gift, Matzah a bark mitzvah gift, or if you just want to help support this organization, I’d be so grateful for your donation.

All funds raised go directly to the Israel Guide Dog Center.

I’m Running for Israel Guide Dogs!
My name is Sadie Klau. For my bat mitzvah project, I’m running a 5K for a cause that is close to my heart!

I’m signed up to run the “Frosty 5K” on December 3rd here in Natick. I’m raising money for my bat mitzvah project for an organization called Israel Guide Dog. I’ve been donating to them since I was in First Grade (that’s over half my life!).

What It is

Israel Guide Dog raises and trains puppies to help people who are vision impaired, have severe emotional needs or have PTSD. Currently, Israel Guide Dog is spreading happiness with “puppy love encounters” to children, wounded survivors and evacuees. When I was in Israel, I was able to visit Israel Guide Dog located outside of Tel Aviv.

My Goal

My goal is to raise $1,800 (18 is a lucky number in Judaism symbolizing life). If we meet this goal, we will be able to “raise a puppy!” We will be able to provide food, medicine, and veterinary care for the puppy’s first year.

In addition to providing guide dogs, we also provide Service Companion dogs to children with Autism, children who are blind, soldiers with PTSD and others with special needs.

For my Bat Mitzvah project, I decided to become a “Puppy Sponsor” with Israel Guide Dogs for the Blind. I like this organization because I love dogs, I love helping people, and I love Israel. Israel Guide Dogs for the Blind gives people with a disability a chance to have their very own guide dog, and live a better life. The money that I raise will go toward helping them train the dogs. My goal is to raise $500 to provide a puppy in training with food and medicine for their first six months in the program.
