New Mosque in Modesto

Located in Northern California’s Central Valley is the Islamic Center of Modesto (ICM). For more than 30 years this region has been trying to replace its tiny mosque to support its growing Muslim community. A few years ago, after years of fundraising, the community was able to purchase the land near the original mosque. Now for the last several years, they have been working tirelessly to complete building of the new mosque before the year is out.
This mosque is truly a welcoming and peaceful addition to Modesto, CA. Muslims in this community support interfaith endeavors and youth programs, among many other charitable and social programs. In particular, ICM has played a key role in the support and smooth integration of many of the displaced refugees of the world to their new homes and lives.
Supporting this mosque is a support of the message of peace and cooperation that Muslims share throughout the world. People of all faiths or no faith are always welcome to visit and learn about the peaceful message of Islam and the Muslim community in Modesto, CA.
All funds received will go towards construction of the ICM. As of 6/19/2017 the mosque was still $200,000 away from its goal. However, any funds remaining will be used to remove the old mosque, purchase interior items for the new mosque, and complete the redesign and reconstruction of the property surrounding the mosque.
