ISKCON of Charlotte is a dynamic and flourishing center affiliated to global ISKCON, founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) spiritual organization operating in Charlotte since 2017. It is engaged in propagating Krishna (God) consciousness, as revealed in the ancient Vedic Scriptures of India, such as the Bhagavad-Gita and the Srimad-Bhagavatam.
ISKCON of Charlotte is building a place of worship (Temple) in Charlotte, NC and towards that we have acquired a 9.5 acre land in 13527, Idlewild Road, Matthews, NC 28105 (1.5 miles from exit 49 in I-485) which will consist of a hall for worship with a modern kitchen to support our programs and food distribution. This facility will make a difference in our community in Charlotte, NC and will be a valuable gift and heritage for generations to come.
ISKCON of Charlotte conducts
- Weekly Sunday Love Feast Program,
- Spiritual training programs for adults (Bhakti Vrkshas),
- Celebrate major festivals like Janmastami, Ram Navami, Govardhan Puja - Diwali,
- Distribution of spiritual books,
- Food for Life - Feeding to homeless shelters,
- Kids Sloka Classes,
- Seminars & Workshops on Meditation and Bhakti Yoga.
