Help Rue see a specialist for her breathing!
Hi everyone! My name is Rue, and I’m an 11 month old Lab Mix. When I was about 6 months old, I was allowed to breed and then tossed in the trash in the dead of winter, along with my puppies. Since being found, my puppies and I found rescue and have all been adopted, but life for me has still been a struggle. At first I was very shy and had to learn to trust people. Since my spay, I’ve had complications and health issues that the vets have struggled to determine. My new mom and dad, Ann and Jacob have been great. At first I was really shy and wouldn’t let them touch me, but I quickly warmed up to them! Currently, I enjoy chasing ducks into the lake, running with my dad, and cuddling on the couch with my mom. If I don’t get enough cuddles, I sit on her lap and force her to pet me. I love it here!
Unfortunately, I have difficulties breathing, eating, and drinking water. My vet thinks I have scar tissue in my nasal cavity from possibly complications related to regurg during my spay, but to know for sure, I need to see a specialist. I’ve been on many medications that have upset my stomach, and I’m just ready to get better! The rescue company is helping my mom and dad so I can see the right doctors and have the CT and scope that I need, but it will costs between $3500-$5000 just for these small scans and they need some help too! I’ve already cost FAR more than the rescue gets for adoption and I want so badly to feel better! Please donate if you can so I can go back to being my friendly, energetic, and loving self.
