Save Our School
The Covid-19 crisis has shut down the school's operations and will likely prevent us from safely operating this summer. We really want to be able to re-open in the same studio that our students know and love when it is safe.
Popular perception is that small businesses are getting state aid through this crisis, but federal grants and loans fall very short of covering the costs of operating for the sparse time period for which they were provided. We are working on this daily but there is simply not enough aid available. The CARES act and related PPP, which we are very grateful to have received, is limited in coverage and does not make up for the loss of paid-out expenses and revenue from our cancelled recital, adult classes and unpaid tuition.
We have already raised $3500 from our own studio families' generosity. We are so extremely grateful to those families who were able to donate the price of their recital tickets to offset this immediate difficulty, and we are committed to making it up to them.
We also have raised an additional $1000 from the Katzman family who have been a pillar of our school since 2009.
We've decided that if we can raise the additional costs to pay our rent and operating expenses this summer - our staff will be able to offer a full schedule of daily virtual classes throughout summer session for FREE to our entire student body and anyone else who wants to join us. Your donation would alleviate the burden that our dance community is facing, help us give back to our studio families, and give our students some much needed normalcy, exercise and fun this summer.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
