Million Natural Rubber Trees Plantation in Nepal
IRRN (Previously IRJR-N) organization .., a 501 (c) (3) a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan and independent Pioneer organization for research, development and outreach of natural rubber in Nepal. We are committed to building IRRN as the next-generation institution for a greener Nepal.
IRRN is looking for everyone's help to raise $51,000 to build starting infrastructure to develop a coherent rubber farming program in the eastern terai region ( Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari and Lower parts of Ilam). With your contributions for this campaign, we will be able to purchase seeds and rubber plants (budded stumps) to start the ground-zero development to meet our Vision, Mission and Objectives.
Vision: To be a pioneer and leading institution in all areas of research, development and extension of rubber industries to benefit communities by providing them with education and opportunities for their own sustainable socio-economic empowerment.
Mission: To promote the viability of rubber industries focused research and development, import and effective transfer of present technology and support services to enhance maximum small farmer participation.
Objectives:
- Increase access to income-generating opportunities for small holding farming households through the establishment of rubber nurseries and expansion of rubber plantations.
- Improve food security and livelihoods of participating households through agroforestry and rubber-based incomes.
- Enhance environmental stewardship through optimal and sustainable utilization of land, labor and input resources.
- Expand current Natural Rubber production enterprises to develop a commercial Natural Rubber sector to substantially meet the country’s increased Natural Rubber demand.
