Insight LA

Insight LA has been serving Los Angeles and beyond for over 20 years, offering freely the teachings of meditation and Buddhist practice. We also have other programs like Mindful Self Compassion, Mindful Eating and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Last year the organization met with financial difficulties and we have since implemented drastic changes to ensure on going success and sustainability. Those changes include: cutting personnel expenses by two thirds and using more volunteers, returning to in person offerings at our Santa Monica location, cutting many other expenses, offering more donation based programming, reducing our teaching roster and reengaging with some of our most beloved teachers.

Insight LA is now doing well AND we still rely on the generosity of others to be able to continue these offerings. If you are able to donate toward our goal of $75,000 we would be grateful. We will use these funds toward operational expenses, upgrades at our Benedict Canyon Retreat House, grants for our teachers for long intensive practice, saving to eventually purchase a place to ensure our long term stability.

We are grateful for your generosity and hope to serve Los Angeles and beyond in the beautiful teachings of dana (generosity), sila (moral values) and bhavana (meditation).

These donations will go to re-opening our doors at Olympic Avenue in Santa Monica. After shutting our doors due to the pandemic, our old location would like us to come back. In raising these funds we will be able to offer teachings in person again.
