Search and Rescue of Sree Mokkapati
Friends,
As most of you already know, our dear friend and beloved community member Sree Mokkapati has been missing since December 8th. He went for a day hike to Mt. Baldy and got separated from his group. San Bernardino Search and Rescue groups have left no stone unturned in their efforts to find Sree even in the harshest of the conditions in the mountains. They have used dozens of their search and rescue volunteers and multiple helicopters in locating Sree.
During the search, Tim Staples, a 32-year-old dedicated volunteer for West Valley Search and Rescue Group, lost his life. This news devastated not only Sree's family and friends but the entire community that has been deeply involved in the search efforts. Volunteers like Tim selflessly serve in these search efforts knowing the risks involved to save the lives of people who are lost in the mountains and it is time for us to come forward and generously contribute to these efforts.
A lot of requests came about helping these search and rescue efforts and so this campaign is created to support the organization behind these efforts. All the funds raised here will go to Inland Empire Search and Rescue Council, a non-profit organization.
P.S. The funds will be sent directly to Inland Empire Search and Rescue Council's account through Paypal Giving Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which will grant the funds to Inland Empire Search and Rescue Council.
