Scholarship Opportunity for Immigranted by Uber
In February 2019, Uber Immigrants ERG started a partnership with Immigranted, a non profit which provides interest free micro-loans to first and second-generation Immigrants seeking or achieving higher education.
Financial problems are the number one reason students cite for dropping out of college. Immigrant students are particularly at risk, with between 32 and 38 percent of Asian and Latino undergrads being in the lowest socioeconomic bracket in the US.
The micro-loans are designed to provide these at-risk achievers with funding for necessities that usually fall outside of a scholarship or traditional student loans - books, supplies, rent, parking, meal plans, etc. - that no student can do without. These necessities can be surprises to families struggling to make it.
Our goal is to donate $5000 and all donations are 501(c)3 tax deductible.
