We believe Immanuel Presbyterian Church is called by grace to be an inclusive community of Christian faith. Jesus cared for those bound by poverty, sick in body and soul, oppressed by cold-hearted society, imprisoned, repressed by materialism, and ignored by the world. God calls us to compassionate, relevant ministry for people in need: bodily care to the ailing, food for the hungry, comfort for the troubled, shelter for the homeless, nurture for the young, rest for the weary, assurance for the wavering. We are a sanctuary of welcome for all people. We understand that “welcome” does not simply mean to invite others into our way of life and worship, but that it also means to foster welcoming relationships across our community. We are a church that works to champion diversity and justice.
