Humane Society of Independence County

As many of you already know, the storm impacted the Independence County Humane Society last night. A tree took out the roof of the building where the cats stay and the dog kennels outside. They have an immense amount of work that will need to be completed for them to be back up and running. Please consider donating so they can rebuild back.

More information about Humane Society of Independence County: The Humane Society of Independence County is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping animals in our county. We rescue stray and injured animals, provide temporary care for homeless animals through foster homes and our shelter facility, and adopt homeless animals to permanent homes. A community goal is to reduce the unwanted pet population by encouraging the spaying/neutering of all dogs and cats through education and awareness.
