We need help to save kaylu's life, he will need to be euthanized if we can not get funding to help him.

Kaylu is 7yrs old, his owner requested he be put down because she could no longer care for his needs, one of our fosters were at the vets when this was happening, she intervened and asked the owner to surrender kaylu to a rescue. We found a week after we had him that he was having trouble going to the bathroom, we thought maybe just constipated, but we were wrong. Kaylu became lethargic and we took him to Guardian vets where he stayed over night. They did testing and found kaylu has a colorectal hernia with a pocket, his stool is getting trapped in this pocket which then stops him from being able to go to the bathroom, if not taken care of he can die of sepsis, kaylu needs your help. He is currently on a stool softener since they cleaned this pocket out. They gave us a surgery date for July 28th attached is our estimate which is 50% off of what the true cost will be. The surgery has to be done by a specialist as a regular vet can not do it. Please help kaylu live his life to the fullest.

On March 17th 2021 one of our dogs started to cry in pain, we noticed his back leg was not moving right, he had a limp. We took him to Guardian veterinary emergency clinic in middletown ny. Blood was taken and came back normal and diagnosis was a pulled muscle in his neck, we were sent home with steroids and gabapentin.  By March 22nd. Wellington took a turn for the worse so we rushed him to Guardian vet in brewster ny.
Vets examined and said he was becoming paralyzed and we needed to do surgery asap, we were told he had a 95% chance of recovery. We felt that Wellington deserved a chance to live and walk again so we said to go ahead with the surgery.  Wellington was released on March 26th and is doing well today. We put our dilemma out on out Facebook page and did collect 960.00.
Still owing 3,689.21 to guardian. 

On April 23rd we received a call from 24 hour emergency hospital in peekskill about a female rottie found unresponsive in wappingers falls ny.  They took her in at 2am Friday morning and had her scanned for a chip and it came back as one of our dogs that was adopted in August of 2017,  since they close at 7am they said they would have her transported to Dutchess County spca sedated and we could pick her up there. We rushed well over an hour to get her and rush her to Guardian in Brewster ny. 
After running tests as sophie kept having seizure after seizure they needed to do more testing, so an mri and spinal tap was done. Sophie spent 48 hours at the hospital while they figured a plan to stop the seizures, her bill came out to 3,462.37.  We are still waiting on results to spinal tap and mri showed some particles in left inner ear. 

We have been in Sanctuary mode since may 28th. 2019 as the dogs we have are undesirable to adopters, we are 100% no kill and we need to continue to care for the 9 dogs we have,  we take care of these dogs with a monthly restitution check we get every month for 454.54 from a cruelty case we did 4yrs ago where we took in 4 abused rottweilers from a breeder. Yes it's guaranteed monet at this time but it's not enough to care for the dogs we have. 
Our bills total 8,111.58 with guardian,  the 960.00 taken off leaves us with 7,151.58
We can use all the help we can get.
We let the public know they could also call in donations direct to guardian but up until today there have been none called in.
Please help us to continue to help the unwanted dogs we have in our care as they deserve to live also,  they are all up in age now but until they do get called back to their maker we do need to continue to care for them. Hudson Valley Rottie Rescue Inc.  Needs help to get funds to pay for our liability insurance, vet bills still outstanding, and to help care for 6 not highly adoptable dogs. The Department of Agriculture and markets has put us in sanctuary mode.  What this means.... we are unable to save any other dogs, we are unable to adopt out any dogs. In a way this is good because we don't have to pay 972.00 for liability insurance,  but we can't help any other dogs either. The 6 not highly adoptable dogs will still need to be cared for, medical, food, heartworm meds, treats,  toys, etc. We can throw our hands up in the air and just say euthanize them, but in no way do they deserve this. They are special dogs that need special owners.  Roxie was sexually abused by a man,  if a man approaches her she will bite. Madison has been with us 7yrs, highly food aggressive. Molly is our mix girl, not good with certain dogs. Gracie was treated for heartworm, if you take her out of her comfort zone she freaks. Delilah we took from a woman in queens, aggressive towards people she doesn't know, she requires several visits before she will accept you. Gus was under our vets care, we cant figure out why he isn't gaining any weight, so more testing has to be done which we do not have the funds to do, gus should not have to suffer this way. We are a small rescue, only taking on dogs that we can accommodate,  we dont shove our dogs on boarding kennels and forget about them. We need help, and bad. We are not a rescue that has 100's of thousands of dollars nor do we take pay checks,  we all have full time jobs. We have 2 good fosters, never any other offers to help.  Unless we get help we will have to stay in Sanctuary mode.  Anyone wanting to verify this can call NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets and speak to Anna Colon.
