Making Cleland Place Home
Home is the starting place of love, hope, and dreams - and YOU can help Cleland Place become HOME for our new residents. HODC is raising funds to provide furnishings for residents who need them, furnish Cleland Place's common areas, and set-up the building to create a supportive and safe home.
Your contribution will purchase furniture and key items to help those residents who are coming with few belongings to build this next phase of their life. Your donation will go directly towards setting up the community room with welcoming furniture, and creating a storage library for the books and games that were donated for the residents to share. Your generosity will make it possible to provide a bike rack, outdoor furniture, and other equipment. Your gift will set-up the property management office with furniture and office equipment where residents will receive support for housing stability and living their best lives.
Residents are preparing to move-in throughout the month. Help us complete the final steps in making Cleland Place the welcoming building for those who have waited for so long to come home.
Cleland Place is owned and managed by Housing Opportunity Development Corporation (HODC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit. HODC's mission is to develop, manage, and preserve the stock of housing that is affordable to low and moderate income households primarily in the high-cost area of Chicago's northern suburbs. Donations to HODC are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
