Hope For New York

Hi everyone, it's Reddy.

On November 1st, I am running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon for Hope For New York. This will be my first ever marathon and I'm thrilled and honored to be taking part in this historic race in partnership with this great organization.

HFNY provides volunteer, financial resources, leadership training, and collaboration opportunities to 80 nonprofits across the five boroughs to support crucial programs like food pantries, after-school mentoring, and emergency supplies for hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers in need.

Please help me raise $5,000 to support HFNY and allow them to serve our city. Here are some tangible impacts your donation can make:

$1,000 = ESL classes for four recent immigrants in one year

$500 = community meals, hot showers, social services, and spiritual support for two individuals experiencing homelessness

$250 = educational resources, community support, and group-based activities for one child with special needs

$100 = medical care for five homeless individuals

It's a long road ahead, but I'm beyond grateful to run my first ever marathon (alongside my girlfriend, Calla!) in the city I've lived almost all my life, and I sincerely hope you consider contributing to HFNY!

On November 1st, I’ll be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon to raise $5,000 for Hope For New York (HFNY).

Growing up as a missionary kid in Brazil, I experienced firsthand what it meant to not take things like food, education, clothing, and shelter for granted. Many of these things were made possible because generous people chose to support my family and the communities we served. Without their generosity, my life would have looked very different.

Today, HFNY partners with 80 nonprofits across all five boroughs to provide essential resources and support to hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, including food, education, mentoring, emergency supplies, and more.

For me, this is more than just running a marathon. It’s an opportunity to pay forward the generosity I experienced growing up and to love my neighbors in a tangible way. I believe this reflects God’s heart for our city's flourishing (Jeremiah 29:7) and the heart of the entire biblical law (Galatians 5:14).
