Our mission to mitigate substance misuse and underage drinking through strategies of prevention, education, advocacy, and recovery support transforms young lives. Leveraging evidence-based models, we educate and mobilize our youth toward sustainable, action-oriented change and success.

The Youth Connections Center is envisioned as a transformative space for at-risk youth, offering a comprehensive suite of services including counseling, mentorship, educational support, and vocational training. By centralizing and expanding youth diversion programs, the center aims to provide constructive alternatives to suspension and a supportive environment for personal growth. This initiative is grounded in partnership with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, ensuring a collaborative approach to youth support and empowerment.

Our decision to establish a youth center in Hendersonville is driven by alarming statistics indicating a 20% rise in substance misuse among local youth over the past five years. The 2022-2023 academic year saw over 260 students in Henderson County schools suspended for related issues. With vaping identified as the primary addiction among high school students nationally, affecting 34% of this demographic, Henderson County faces a critical situation with more than 1,800 youth impacted. Our goal is to cut these incidents by 30% within the first three years of the center's operation, addressing the urgent need for effective intervention.
