Homeless Prenatal Program

Wildfire season is here and we need your help. All San Francisco families deserve clean, breathable air in their homes when the smoke hits. As you make preparations to keep your family safe, we are asking you to buy an air purifier for a family who can't otherwise afford one. 

We are partnering with Blueair ™️ and the Homeless Prenatal Program  (HPP) to acquire and distribute air purifiers to underserved families in San Francisco. As part of its mission to provide clean air to those in need and alongside its support to the Freedom to Breathe  campaign, Blueair™️ is generously donating 500 air purifiers and replacement filters to the Homeless Prenatal Program, which HPP will distribute to the families they support. Our goal is to match Blueair's generous donation so that the Homeless Prenatal Program can purchase additional air purifiers and provide assistance for their over 3000 client families this fire season.

Today, as we launch this campaign, smoke from the Willow Fire looms above us, high in the atmosphere. Soon we will begin the daily practice of checking the air quality before opening our windows, letting our kids ride their bikes, or stepping out for a walk. The fires and the smoke are beyond our control but what we can do right now is help everyone breathe safely in their homes this year.

Every child deserves clean air and every parent deserves to know that their children are safe. We are responsible for protecting the most vulnerable members of our community as we enter into this likely devastating wildfire season. Donate today to give clean air to an underserved family.

Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you know, I’m turning the big 4-0 this year. I wanted to do something different this year and I’m hoping you all will join me.

I have 3 beautiful healthy children who have blessed my life more than they’ll ever know. Along with these 3 blessings came 9 months each of struggles - morning sickness, gestational diabetes, edema, PPD and many other symptoms associated with pregnancy. Fortunately, I had the proper medical team to  support each pregnancy, the resources to comfort every ache and pain and satisfy each and every craving.

I’ve been employed at San Francisco General Hospital for 12 years and a few blocks down is the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP.) On my way home, I pass this clinic who supports pregnant women and their families and the line is out the door. This scene is nothing new but heartbreaking each time. Not only do these women also suffer from the familiar and uncomfortable symptoms of pregnancy but they are stricken with poverty as well. They need to care for themselves, their unborn child, and family bringing an unprecedented amount of stress to their current condition. Thankfully, the HPP is their to help support these strong women and their families.

To celebrate my 40th birthday, would you join me in making difference? I am raising money to benefit Homeless Prenatal Pogeqm and any donation will help make an impact.  Even if you are not able to make a monetary donation, a simple share on your social media platform would be greatly appreciated.

Hi friends! In August I am heading back to Mongolia for a second attempt at the Mongol Derby . This 1,000km (621 mile) race recreates Genghis Khan’s legendary postal system on semi-wild Mongolian horses.

As riders we've been asked to raise funds for our favorite charities and I have once again chosen the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) . I truly love this program and have volunteered/interned/worked here since 2015. My entry and training fees are covered so 100% of donations go directly to HPP.

I have been training everyday for the past year, my gear is set and I’m ready to race! Thanks for all your love and support through this adventure. I’ll try to stay on my horse this year ;)
