Although there is no end to economic turmoil and inequality this city faces, there’s no reason we as citizens can’t make an effort to improve any individual’s circumstance so that they may begin the path back out of their situation.

My grandpa was homeless, and every single time he would show up to our house hungry, I would feel embarrassed because we barely had food for ourselves.

Yeah, we would give him food here and there, but he needed a lot of help which we couldn’t give him. It was really sad because after he passed away, we were all in grief. My whole family was depressed, and I told myself I would create something to try to help the people in need.
