Please join us in helping HomeFront during the COVID-19 crisis.  Our family has been involved with Homefront since 2012 through a service partnership with the Pennington School.  The families they support are deeply impacted by the current crisis and economic impact.  

Every day, HomeFront NJ works to support families in need and end homelessness in Central New Jersey. Now more than ever these families need your support. HomeFront is committed to ensuring these families receive essentials such as meals, clothing, affordable housing, and so much more. More information about HomeFront Inc: HomeFront's mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring, resources and expertise of the community. They lessen the immediate pain of homelessness and help families become self-sufficient. We work to give our clients the skills and opportunities to ensure adequate incomes, and we work to increase the availability of adequate, affordable housing. We help homeless families advocate for themselves individually and collectively.

There are over 200,000 single mothers in New Jersey who struggle to meet the daily needs for themselves and their families, because of the transportation challenges they face. These mothers are often forced to depend on the unreliably public transport in poorly served areas. By not having a car, they are stripped from their independence and it affects their ability to find steady employment, proper healthcare, and accessibility to education and opportunities for their children.

I have sat down face to face with some of these mother, asking them about the challenges they have had to face in their lives, caused by this lack of transportation. On many accounts, with tears in their eyes, they have described the pain and hardship it has caused them and to the children they support. It is these heartbreaking stories of those single mothers, that drive me to make sure that this suffering ends.



My mission is simple, to make a positive impact on single moms in New Jersey by providing transportation for them and their families, thereby transforming their lives.

I am partnering with Homefront NJ, a non-profit organization in New Jersey, and have created The Drive Home Foundation, whose main goal is to provide single mothers vehicles of their own so that they can achieve independence. We take car donations from local car dealerships, individual donors and anyone else from the community. These donations are tax deductible`. We then work with multiple local mechanic workshops to repair and put these cars in the hands of deserving single mothers across central New Jersey.

We are seeking donations to bring this powerful mission to life.

Your donations will go towards, purchasing and repairing used vehicles, paying for insurance, providing gas cards for mothers and increasing the number of single families we reach. Together we will bring single moms the gift of independence. Sharing this campaign will help us spread this word and impact more deserving families. I am hoping to raise $25,000 as an initial goal for this campaign. It would not only cover the things listed above, but would also allow us to put at least 5 cars in the hands of deserving mothers.  

My name is Rohan Joseph, and I am a junior in high school. For the past couple of years, I have been working with a local garage that repairs old vehicles and puts them in the hands of single mother. I have seen the difference a car can make, for a single mother and her children and strongly believe that there is opportunity to create substantial positive change for these families across New Jersey.
