Empower, educate, and enhance the lives of Paradise families through supporting our summer camp program while parents work. The youth of Paradise have enjoyed culturally responsive summer camp programs each year and having this program allows for 30+ youth to have supervised fun while being cultured within and outside of their community.
Previous summers our youth enjoyed swimming, kayaking, camping, hiking, bowling, skating, parks, and many other healthy programming options. We have seen positive growth in social and emotional well-being that transfers to school and beyond.
Reaching our goal of $50,000 will ensure we have lower camp counselor to student ratios of 1:8 or less, adequate transportation, admission fees, and healthy meals for the entire 4 weeks.
We also connect each of our Angels with new clothes, shoes, and school supplies for the first week of school so they can continue with the high self-esteem needed to overcome back-to-school excitement. Our amazingly beautiful community and Friends of HPF have generously provided these annually.
With the strong support evident in York County, SC and the Charlotte metropolitan area we know we can achieve this in a short amount of time so that these urgent needs can be filled before summer program begins on June 3, 2024. Will you help make this dream come true for the Paradise Angels?
