Dear Friends,

We are living in unprecedented times and in the midst of more uncertainty than many of us have ever faced. While we still can’t physically gather, we are proud to create ways for us to be together as a virtual community, using Jewish wisdom to help us make sense of our new world and continue to make a difference by serving others.

As a nonprofit project, Base NYC can only do this work with your support, and we're excited to share that a generous donor will match dollar-for-dollar every gift made from now through June 22nd, up to $15,000 total. 

While many of us are dealing with financial insecurity given the state of the economy,  please contribute what you are able. Every donation, especially from a Baser, and no matter the amount, is a meaningful one.

Hillel International processes gifts on Base's behalf, and all donations made via GoFundMe are 100% tax deductible.

During this week of Chanukah while we celebrate and acknowledge the people, places and communities that bring light into the world, we will be launching our matching campaign, “Give Thanks To Base.”  

This campaign’s aim is to have as many people who have experienced Base to give back to the community, and to get those individuals who have never given to Base in the past, to make a first contribution.

If you give:

$100  x 2 = $200 for Base

$500  x 2 = $1000 for Base

$1000  x 2 = $2000 for Base... you get it!

To sustain one Baser, it costs approximately $8 a week. That's $32 a month, or just a little more than $1 per day. 

We know that not every Baser can sustain the full cost of their own involvement, but we do hope that each person will make a contribution to the community that is meaningful to them.
