Higher Than Health Wellness Charity was born from a place of love, resilience, and a deep desire to create change. Founded in honor of my father, Daron Cathey — a Navy veteran who courageously battled diabetes and its complications — our mission is rooted in compassion and driven by purpose. My father’s strength, even in the face of adversity, lit a fire in me to ensure that no one else has to navigate chronic illness without support, education, and hope.

At Higher Than Health, we believe that knowledge is healing, and community is power. We serve underserved communities by providing accessible health education, hosting empowering wellness events, and offering resources that inspire healthier lifestyles. From diabetes awareness to mental health support, nutrition education to caregiver empowerment, we are on the ground doing the work — with heart.
