CT scan and treatment for Baby.
CT scan and treatment for Baby.
*Please make sure your volume is up when you watch the video posted.
Although this is a tough time for everyone, we are desperate to help make at least one miracle happen this holiday season. Please say hi to Baby, who is the kitty in the video. Baby is a beautiful 1 year old who started her life by being abandoned as a kitten by her family. Like all abandoned cats, Baby deserved better. But, in Baby's case, she has also developed a respiratory problem that has gotten worse over time despite conventional treatment. Both vets that she has seen are mystified and agree that she needs a CT scan to diagnose and treat whatever is causing her to struggle and fight for every breath. They suspect that she has a polyp in her airway that needs to be located and surgically removed, and the only was to confirm and treat is through a CT scan. She is a beautiful young thing with a will to live, but she won't live to see another year unless we can get her the help she needs.
Baby is part of the large family of rescues at Hi Kitty Kitty (a 501c3 rescue located in Chicago) I am currently fostering her in my home so I can devote extra time, attention, and daily medical treatment to her while we try to find a way to try to raise the money needed to save Baby's life. I can't describe how heartbreaking it is to hear her struggle to breathe every minute of the day- even when she's sleeping- but seeing this kitten play, and eat, and fight to stay alive makes us committed to doing whatever we can. The videos I’m showing you last only few seconds, imagine that 24 hours a day. Could you imagine that ?
We have reached out to specialists, teaching veterinary colleges, and everywhere we can to try to see who might be able to do this surgery at a discounted rate, since Hi Kitty Kitty is an IRS registered non-for-profit rescue. Unfortunately, the estimates start at $2,200, so we are making this our target goal and hoping that we can work out a payment plan for any shortfall.
I know we all have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but It won't take too much to have a positive impact and help this kitty with the medical treatment if we all help out. Please help us give this kitty a chance of a happy healthy life.
EVERY DOLLAR RAISED HERE WILL BE USED FOR HER MEDICAL TREATMENT.
Thank you kindly.
