Donate to HHS Rowing Club Pandemic Relief Fund
Since 1999, our high school athletes have been rowing on the Hillsborough River, winning regattas across the state, and consistently qualifying for Nationals. We're a nonprofit organization, so we stay afloat (pun intended) solely because of parents and with generous donations from people like you. Because of the pandemic, like so many others in the community we're uncertain what the future holds for our club in these unprecedented times. With large fixed costs like equipment and rent at the beautiful Julian B. Lane River Center downtown and facing a short (maybe even canceled) season, our athletes may not have a sport to come back to next year unless we raise enough money to survive.
Here are some things your generous tax-deductible donation can help pay for this fiscal year.
$1000: Registration (TeamSnap) – This covers the TeamSnap interface we use to register athletes and maintain our roster each year.
$750: Quickbooks – We would be lost without this!
$500: General administration – This covers things like title and registration for our boat and hospitality trailer, along with annual fees to keep our membership with state and national rowing associations.
$250: Launch maintenance and fuel – When rowers are out on the water, a coach rides along the river in a motored boat to ensure their safety.
$150: Florida Scholastic Rowing Association annual fee
$100: Trailer/boat registrations through the DMV
$50: Donation toward erg maintenance and monitor replacement – The disinfecting spray we used early in the season seeped into the erg monitors and stopped them from working, so we had to replace 13 of them for a total of $1280. We regularly do other maintenance on the ergs to keep them in good shape for our athletes.
$35: Website hosting on GoDaddy
Any gift more than $500 will be featured on our website. Sponsors
who give more than $5000 are eligible to be featured at regattas through spring 2022, where thousands of people will hear about and see how generous you are!
