Growing up, I didn’t know much about money how to budget it, save it, or make it grow. I saw people around me struggle, living paycheck to paycheck, stuck in cycles they didn’t know how to break. I wasn’t taught about credit, interest, or how to build wealth I was taught how to survive, not how to prosper.

That changed when I discovered financial literacy.

Learning how money works opened my eyes. I started making smarter choices budgeting, saving, and planning for the future. I began building not just income, but stability. It wasn’t just about dollars it was about confidence, freedom, and opportunity.

That transformation is why I started Helping Other People Prosper (HOPP) and wrote A Kid Called Smart. I want every child to have the tools I wish I had growing up. Through our SMART program, we’re teaching kids how to be financially smart how to understand money early, make wise decisions, and build a future they can be proud of.

But we can’t do it alone.
