Helping Hand Home for Children

Austin Design House recently coordinated an effort to remodel the Therapeutic Family Room at the Helping Hand Home for Children ! It was an amazing project, transforming the function and appearance of a very important space at the Helping Hand Home.  Thank you to everyone that has donated, your money has made a difference!


Our team did well with our $10,000 budget ! We have $2000 in savings to start our next project. With valuable input  from the HHH staff, we are going to focus this year on the lobby! The Helping Hand Lobby is used by many and is in great need of some TLC.

Please help us continue to lift spirits at the Helping Hand Home for Children!

HHH provides a safe haven for children healing from physical, emotional and sexual abuse, neglect or abandonment. The entry and lobby is the first impression for these vulnerable children when they  arrive at the home.  Imagine the emotion and anxiety a child feels when they arrive at their new home. Help us put together a warm and loving impression. 

The  lobby and entrance is also the first impression for much needed volunteers and donors. We want the lobby decor to have a maintained appearance to reflect the quality care that is given to HHH children. 

The room is presently filled with furniture that was generously donated, but it's time to update and enhance the existing upholstery.  Our goal is to improve the appearance as well as the durability of the room.  With your support, together we can brighten the HHH Lobby so that children living at HHH are provided a vibrant space to greet visiting family and provide a cheerful place for group gatherings.   

Austin Design House is donating their time and not charging any profit on goods or services.  We are utilizing our trade resources to ensure that the purchases are of quality and value. 

Your donations will help us to accomplish the following. 

Restore and or replace chairs, couches, rugs and accent furniture.


We will be outfitting the space with durable, long-lasting materials and furniture to provide longevity to this highly used space . 

We are raising funds to ensure HHH gets the best materials and resources for the room. Please help us reach our goal of an additional $5000.00 . All previous funds to date were used for the Family Therapy Room. All funds are collected and administered by the development office of the Helping Hand Home.  Your donation is tax deductible.
