Strongman to Lift Huntington's Community
I am competing in an upcoming strongman competition here in Phoenix, AZ on February 1st and wanted to take the opportunity to support a cause close to my heart. I have been training very hard and recognize that being able to do these things is something not everyone gets the chance to do. This was extremely evident during a recent Help4HD event I attended. I had the chance to not only meet the leadership from Help4HD, but to really connect with the community. I spoke with Huntington's patients and their caregivers and walked away truly touched by the hardship these people face on a daily basis.
How can you help? I'm raising money to benefit Help4HD International and any donation is appreciated! I have had the pleasure to personally interact with the leaders of this organization and absolutely know this money will go to a great cause. Specifically, I will ensure all donations go towards providing a Christmas miracle for children affected by Juvenile Huntington's and for providing education and support to the community. Beer Bullies 2020; Feb 1st hosted by Liberty Performance Training
Spectator Fee is $5. Wren House Brewery will be on site all day serving their Kolsch beer. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase and consume. All alcohol must remain inside Liberty Performance Training. There will be a food truck available from 11:00 to 1:00 with food available for purchase.
Weight class: Middle weight men (175.5-231.5 lbs)... and there may be a sub-class for under 200 lbs. My current weight is 190 and am aiming for 195ish on competition day.
Events:
EVENT 1: OVERHEAD MEDLEY (LOG, VIKING PRESS, CIRCUS DUMBBELL FOR REPS)
EVENT 2: LAST MAN STANDING DEADLIFT (10 FT ELEPHANT BAR)
EVENT 3: TIRE FLIP + ZERCHER CARRY MEDLEY
EVENT 4: STONE OVER BAR
EVENT 5: KEG CARRY & LOAD SERIES

The aim is to serve resource centers to provide information, education, resources and care. This can only be accomplished through positive education and advocacy efforts. Help4HD is committed to its caregiver support and education initiatives providing information about research and clinical trials, connecting credible care professionals with the community is top priority. HD individuals need help the most because they are sick, isolated, alone, and estranged from their families through no fault of their own. They are in situations where there is little understanding about the HD condition.
