Save Our Sewer
Dear Friends and Community Supporters,
Our practice is dedicated to serving some of the most vulnerable members of our community—families relying on Medicaid, individuals undergoing cancer treatments, children with autism, and many others who depend on affordable, compassionate care. We are passionate about providing essential health services, but we’re currently facing a significant challenge that threatens our ability to do so.
What’s happening?
Our sewer system has developed serious issues, and repairs are estimated to cost over $16,500. Despite multiple efforts and consultations, the problem persists, and the repair process has been complex and costly. Here’s a quick overview:
- The pipe from our pump/grinder system to the city sewer needs replaced as it is the incorrect size causing pressure issues and burning up the pump/grinder motor
- The system’s design, installed in 2017, is not built for durability, leading to repeated malfunctions.
- Excavations are costly because the system is buried three feet underground, and access is limited. We need to install a larger pump grinder pit with access at ground level
- Our insurance and contractor warranties do not cover this underground equipment failure, leaving us responsible for the repairs.
How have we tried to address this?
We’ve spent over $5,946 on repairs and consultations with experts from the city, septic specialists, and plumbers. Despite these efforts, the system continues to cause disruptions, threatening the vital services we offer.
What do we need?
We are reaching out to our community—our friends, supporters, and followers—to ask for help. A donation of just $4 from each of our followers could cover the remaining costs to repair our sewer system and restore our restroom facilities. This small contribution can make a big difference in helping us continue providing:
- Affordable functional medicine services
- Acupuncture and lymphatic therapy
- Pediatric and adult care for conditions like ankyloglossia, autoimmunity, and more
