Roxey Ballet is hoping to create a 16 yard giant stage puppet for (KAA the Snake) created by Alicia Worden and team. As you know we are a Non-Profit Organization and count entirely on your continued support to fund every aspect of our continued mission of preserving the art of dance and building bridges through this beautiful art form called Dance. Roxey Ballet needs new costumes.

Roxey Ballet is preparing for our 22nd Annual Holiday Classic "Nutcracker".  After 22 years, it's time to retire some of the costumes.

Each year, we perform "The Nutcracker" from late November to early December. This year, our performances will begin on November 26 and end on December 5. We will include an additional school program performance, complete with a Q&A and a study guide, as well as a sensory-friendly performance, to allow families with special needs to enjoy ballet.

New costumes are expensive to replace, to say the least. In order to continue this holiday tradition that has been a part of so many lives throughout New Jersey, we need your help.

The Costumes

We are creating new Prince, Soldier, and Nutcracker costumes. To make these costumes, we look back in time to the Victorian age to replicate details, colors, embroidery. They require unique materials and designs suited towards the movement of a professional ballet dancer.

For 27 years Roxey Ballet has been a pillar of our community providing dance in every capacity with thought provoking, insightful and entertaining productions, education programs and residencies for the handicapped, special needs, and under privileged including a community refuge for students and adults alike - a place to call home.

We are now in dire need of funding and support. Hurricane Ida has destroyed our dance studios, black box, office jobs, and the place we call home. Flood water completely destroyed our space. Just as we were recovering from Covid-19, rehiring dancers, and planning on a full season of in-person and virtual performances and education programs. Our studio is completely destroyed and closed. We need support to temporarily relocate and financially recover from the loss of all our equipment, facility and company. We would appreciate any financial support to keep us going. Please help us keep the art of ballet alive.
