About HarvestShare, Inc.
HarvestShare's mission is to reduce food insecurity in Montgomery County Maryland by supplying locally grown produce to food pantries, providing food gardening education to all and engaging in community outreach events to provide materials and teach under resourced residents how to grow some of their own food. Started in 2020 in response to the growing need for food, our all volunteer organization works with resident and community gardeners, farmers market vendors and grow-to-donate gardens to collect and donate 10 tons of newly harvested fresh, culturally desired fruits, vegetables and herbs annually to our neighbors in need.
