For decades, the need in Hāna for a community-based commercial kitchen, agricultural aggregation space, and resilience hub has been identified by our residents, and now is the time for taking action! The Hāna Business Council (HBC) is seeking tax-deductible donor support for the Hāna Hub project. Beginning on October 1, 2024, the Hāna Business Council (HBC), acting as the fiscal agent for the project, has secured a lease with an option to purchase agreement on 14.57 acres of land adjacent to the Hāna Airport at 20 Uwala Road for the Hāna Hub location.

HBC is spearheading this GoFundMe campaign with an initial goal of $100,000 to begin building the project's financial foundation and to cover the costs associated with overseeing the property and moving the Hāna Hub project forward, while other grant and revenue sources are being developed. We are working with community leaders to build this agricultural aggregation, commercial kitchen, and resilience hub in Hāna. The purchase of this land is supported by Councilmember Shane Sinenci, and we have an agreement from Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen to secure funding for the purchase of this property with funding from Maui County.
