Hey everyone! I'm running my first Boston Marathon this spring and raising money for Haley House. Any donation will help make an impact!

Many of you know that I have been a member of the Haley House Live-In Community since graduating in June, and this experience has been truly transformative for me. All of our programming here at Haley House, from the soup kitchen, urban agriculture, and affordable housing to our cooking classes for youth and senior citizens is heavily dependent on donations. We rely on your support to keep doing the work that we do -- thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Haley House uses food with purpose and the power of community to break down barriers between people, transfer new skills, and strengthen neighborhoods. We believe in radical solutions: solving problems at their very root by challenging attitudes that perpetuate suffering and building alternative models. We are rooted in two Boston neighborhoods: the South End and Roxbury.

Founded as a “house of hospitality” in 1966, Haley House has grown to include 5 interconnected branches: direct services (soup kitchen, meals for elders, food pantry), permanent affordable housing (110+ units in scattered South End sites), urban agriculture (a school yard plot in the South End, an urban farm in Roxbury), education and training (Training at our social enterprise for people leaving incarceration and Take Back the Kitchen cooking classes for youth) and a social enterprise business (catering and wholesale bakery while cafe is on hiatus).

This April I'm running the Boston Marathon for Haley House. I'm really excited to give back to an organization that I have deep fondness to. My experience on campaigns and living in the Roxbury community were closely tied to going to Haley House. From morning meetings with candidates to attending the many events Haley House hosts, the food, the flavor, and the atmosphere at Haley House was always perfect. I'm excited to be part of a group of people working together to help this community partner succeed. My goal is $6000 which will help Haley House further its mission. Donate today!
