Gwinwood Retreat Center (Gwinwood)

My name is Jimmy Opitz and I am a Boy Scout currently working on my Eagle Project. I am going to be leading the construction of an outdoor amphitheater called the Zephyr Amphitheater. This will be built on a hill at the Gwinwood Christian Camp and Conference Center.  I am building a stage, benches, and flagpoles. This will benefit the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations of Western Washington. Their facilities already include an outdoor chapel, but this can only be used for religious gatherings. This amphitheater will provide an outdoor meeting place for them to have conferences, presentations, social gatherings, etc. The Boy Scouts will also be able to use it as a meeting place for skits, campfires, and classes. It will be a great space to gather that will surely bring this community closer together. With your donation, I will be able to buy all the materials required to build my plan.
