Guide Dogs of Texas, Inc.

We need your help! Jaxx is a 2 year old handsome black Lab and an extremely important dog. He’s one of only three special stud dogs for Guide Dogs of Texas (GDTX). These dogs go through rigorous temperament and health screening to be selected for this role. He sired two litters of beautiful puppies that will go on to be the eyes for blind Texans.  Jaxx has an extremely dangerous stomach infection – hemolytic strep! His surgery and treatment have drained GDTX’s emergency medical funds. Please help us bring Jaxx back to health! Any additional funds will be used for future veterinary needs.

Guide Dogs of Texas has an URGENT REQUEST! Three of our puppies accidentally ingested medication that puts their lives at risk.  They have been at the emergency veterinarian’s office receiving treatment and will be there several days.  Our most recent update is that they are expected to survive, with continued care.  We need your help to fund these unexpected, urgent care veterinary costs for all three puppies.  The current cost per puppy is over $3,000 and growing.

Jaxx, Cora and Hanna are all part of our PAWSitive Approach Program, which is our collaboration with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Please give to help these puppies. GDTX has given over 210,000 DAYS OF SIGHT to blind Texans. These dogs could one day change the life of a blind or visually impaired Texan, but we need to get them through this difficult time to make that possible.
