The Guest List: Dinner & A Show
HEAR HERE PRESENTS: THE GUEST LIST
Milwaukee-based production company, Hear Here Presents is partnering with Company Brewing and non-profit homeless shelter, The Guest House of Milwaukee, to host the the fourth annual “Guest List” benefit show on Monday, March 9th, 2020. The Guest List is a special event organized for the male shelter guests, which includes a delicious meal prepared by Company Brewing, accompanied by an evening of local music and comedy curated by Hear Here Presents.
Unlike a “traditional benefit” where a monetary donation from ticket sales is given to the shelter, this benefit seeks to provide 50-80 shelter guests with a genuine experience involving a few of our favorite things: good food, good music and a good laugh. We often take for granted our accessibility to these things within our community and created “The Guest List” as a unique and memorable way to give back to those less fortunate in the greater Milwaukee area.
Over the past three years, the gentlemen from the shelter that attended The Guest List show were some of the most appreciative and grateful patrons and crowd members that we have ever experienced in all our years of producing events. Many of them made it a point to let us know, "This was the best night of [their] life" or "This was the nicest meal [they’ve] ever had."
Currently all performers along with a number of servers from Company Brewing, have volunteered their time to make this event possible. Therefore, all contributions (after GoFundMe fees) will be put towards covering food costs (approximately $1000-1200), transportation ($275-350), and care packages including toiletries and warm clothes.
A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.
We are thankful for the overwhelming community support for this event , and we hope to carry on The Guest List tradition in years to come with new community partners. If you are interested in getting involved in any way, please contact us via GoFundMe page.
*PLEASE NOTE: This event is a private event for The Guest House of Milwaukee and is not open to the public.*
