Celebrate My Birthday by Supporting GRID Alternatives
Hello everyone! As I celebrate my birthday this year, I’m asking for you to open your hearts, minds and pocketbooks. I’m raising funds for GRID Alternatives-where I work alongside an amazing group of humans, who are dedicated in making clean energy accessible to underserved communities. GRID Alternatives mission resonates deeply with me, as I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to benefit from renewable energy and job training.
Your support can make a significant impact, helping GRID Alternatives to:
- Provide solar power solutions for low-income families, resulting in energy cost savings.
- Offer hands-on job training for community members, empowering them with valuable skills in the clean energy sector.
My focus this year is on raising funds for Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico’s electrical infrastructure remains in crisis- suffering from a 33% energy generation shortage and frequent, severe outages. Despite ongoing repairs and modernization funding, the grid is heavily dependent on aging, imported fossil fuel-fired power plants, leading to 15% more interruptions and significantly longer, more frequent outages than anywhere in the continental U.S.
