Keep Victims of Domestic Abuse Safe During COVID
Dear Friends,
As shelter in place protocols have been enacted nationwide, domestic violence calls have increased up to 30% with domestic abuse killings doubling in some regions.
The Minneapolis Crisis Nursery helps thousands of families each year but due to COVID-19 the shelter has had to pause its overnight care program which gives women & children a safe place to stay.
These victims of domestic abuse can be housed in hotels, but the Crisis Nursery needs your support to pay for these programs.
For my 21st birthday we are raising money and awareness for victims of domestic abuse. Please consider donating if you are able to. No one should have to face violence while trying to protect their family from Coronavirus. Please remember that home isn’t a safe place for everyone & join us in helping to protect these vulnerable members of our community.
Sincerely,
Amira Kazeminy
