Hi, I’m Kylee, and I’m the founder of Gr8ter, a nonprofit dedicated to introducing mental health recovery as a path to healing, growth, and transformation. For the past 10 years, Gr8ter has been a labor of love, fueled by the passion and hard work of incredible volunteers. We've had the privilege of bringing hope, support, and dignity to those who need it most—through programs like Trail Fridays, our Top of Tamarack event (now in its 5th year!), and our Sock Project, which has delivered tens of thousands of socks across the state, offering comfort and dignity to individuals in crisis.

Our mission is simple but vital: to introduce and normalize mental health recovery as a real, tangible path toward thriving. Too often, the conversation is centered on mental illness and labels, but we’re working to shift that focus to recovery—where people can rediscover their purpose, dreams, and the lives they want to live.

Our 3 pillars—movement, connection, and purpose—are powerful catalysts for mental health recovery, and we’ve seen firsthand how they can transform lives. As we look to the future, we have BIG dreams for Gr8ter. Over the next two years, we plan to expand our youth programs, like Gr8ter Kids Crew and Camp Gr8ter, as well as launch Trail Junkies, our mountain biking group. These programs are all about providing a space for people to heal, connect, and find purpose in their lives.

However, after 10 years of running this organization as a volunteer effort, I’ve reached a crossroads. In order to continue expanding and offering more programs that truly make an impact, I need to shift from a volunteer-run organization to one that can pay a team to help lighten the load.

The funds raised through this campaign will help us take that crucial next step—building a team, growing our programs, and continuing to lead the charge in introducing mental health recovery as a path that anyone can take.
