Gorge Makerspace

Gorge Makerspace is celebrating ten years of creativity and hands-on learning with our Tools for Tomorrow Fundraiser, setting our sights on raising $75,000 by the end of the year - we'll need your help!

As an established 501c3 non-profit we rely on grants, private donors, and class fees to fund our organization. This year, with exciting developments and change on the horizon we are calling on you, our community, to support us!

Our mission at Gorge Makerspace is to empower and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and build their creative skills. Through hands-on projects, camps and workshops, we help unlock the potential of the hands and mind, and reconnect people with their power to make and repair. Our culture of innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning, creates a space for everyone to discover their way to make a positive impact on the world.

Over the past few years, things have been changing here at the MakerSpace. What began as just a corner in the basement of the local community center has grown into a 2,000-square-foot space equipped for woodworking, metalworking, robotics, electronics, sewing and digital fabrication. Each week, over 100 students attend a variety of classes taught by two full-time and eight part-time staff. The next chapter promises even more excitement!

With this fundraiser we are aiming to:

-Replacing our old oil furnace with safer, more efficient electric heat pump;

-Upgrading electrical circuits to safely accommodate large shop tools;

-Upgrading our most critical shop tools

$2500 - $4999 - Supporter - Get a free private class for you and 5 of your friends, and your name on the wall of the new metal shop

$5,000 - $9,999 - Champion - Be the named sponsor of a traveling STEM competition team from Gorge Makerspace

$10,000 + - Cornerstone - Be the named sponsor of our new Metal Shop!
