Global Wellness Mission, Half Marathon fundraiser
We are extremely excited to be running the Millenium Half Marathon in Accra Ghana on behalf of the Global Wellness Mission (www.globalwellnessmission.org). We learned about this awesome non-profit organization from our caring and passionate friend, Dr. Joel Birkemeier. Joel helped found the Global Wellness Mission with friends in NYC and Accra in order to increase overall wellness within low resource communities in developing countries. They started this organization in Accra, Ghana & it's why we are looking forward to running there!
We are aiming to raise $5,000 with our half marathon. If we are able to achieve this goal, your donations will be able to provide Global Wellness Mission community members with:
9 months of Dance classes and Dance competitions for kids and teens
6 months of bi-weekly Fitness trainings for the entire community
Ensuring all 100+ community members have new work-out attire -- including running shoes and t-shirts
