From Beehive to Thrive: Help Kenyan Villages Prosper!
Do you like honey? If you do, then you must love (or at least like) honeybees! I am reaching out on behalf of Global Health Connections (GHC) and their honey cooperative--Greener Hills Honey--to share with you an inspiring initiative that promises to bring sustainable development and prosperity to the villages in and around the green hills of Kisii, Kenya, through the power of beekeeping.
Why Beekeeping in Western Kenya?
Beekeeping offers a unique solution to many challenges faced by rural communities in Western Kenya including economic empowerment, environmental benefits and health benefits (that liquid gold is actually quite nutritious!).
Greener Hills Honey has trained 64 apiary managers and built 10 apiaries with a total of 460 hives thus far. But they want to do more and I want to help them! Beekeeping is one of their most successful income-generating projects to date, and they want to build 10 more apiaries in western Kenya and add an additional 500 hives!
To bring this vision to life, we are seeking to raise $20,000. Your generous donation will directly contribute to:
Equipment: Purchasing beehives, protective gear, and honey processing tools.
Training: Providing comprehensive training to villagers on beekeeping techniques, hive management, and honey harvesting.
Support: Ensuring ongoing technical assistance and market access for honey and other bee products.

$50 can provide a starter beekeeping kit for one family.
$100 can train a group of villagers in modern beekeeping practices.
$500 can establish a fully equipped apiary, benefiting an entire community.
