Help Kentucky Tornado Survivors with Global Disaster Relief
Help Kentucky Tornado Survivors – Support Global Disaster Relief
Since Friday May 17, 2025, powerful tornadoes have torn through central Kentucky, destroying homes, killing at least 20 people in Laurel County, and displacing dozens of families. And it’s not over yet — more dangerous storms are expected in the coming weeks, putting already-devastated communities at even greater risk.
Entire neighborhoods in London, KY were leveled in minutes. Families are without shelter, power, food, or access to medical care. Hospitals are overwhelmed. Rural areas are struggling to reach help.
Global Disaster Relief, a nonprofit emergency aid organization, is urgently raising $75,000 to provide emergency food, medical supplies, and shelter for those affected — especially in Kentucky’s small, underserved towns.
What’s Happening:
May 17: Tornadoes strike Kentucky, leaving 28 dead across several states
London, KY hit hardest – 19 dead, entire communities flattened
22 families displaced, many without power, water, or transportation
80,000+ without electricity across 5 states
Next storms expected in days, threatening to strike again
Who Will Be Helped:
Families who lost their homes and belongings
Children and seniors left without basic necessities
Survivors in remote, hard-to-reach towns like London and surrounding areas
What We’re Doing:
Delivering emergency food, water, diapers, and medical kits
Supporting local hospitals and shelters
Coordinating with local responders for fast, targeted aid
Preparing for follow-up support as more storms develop
