Keep Biking North for GiveWell
Join me in raising funds for the best charity, GiveWell, while I cycle across the US and Canada! GiveWell takes the title of 'best charity' because they research and fund the most cost-effective charitable interventions in the world. So you can feel confident your donation will be impactful. My goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of my trip in August.

This idea was born out of the most difficult experience of my life. In December 2022 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and spent the next several months in treatment and recovery. One of the hardest parts was losing the physical mobility I had taken for granted. During that time, I held onto a dream that one day I'd be able to go on an amazing journey. I've carried that dream all this way, and finally feel confident/healthy enough to make it happen!

After experiencing a treatable, but expensive condition, it’s heartbreaking to me how many people pass from conditions easily prevented/treated in the US. Besides their amazing approach to philanthropy, I also chose to fundraise for GiveWell because of its tremendous impact on public health programs in developing countries, where access is severely limited.

Rather than trying to rate as many charities as possible, GiveWell focuses on the few charities that stand out most in order to find and confidently recommend high-impact giving opportunities.
