Ignite Dreams: Help GEIG Transform Lives
The Girls Education Initiative of Ghana, GEIG, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024. Themed 'Our Decade of Impact,' GEIG is looking forward to the next decade of impact. In our next decade, we are scaling efforts; GEIG is partnering with Coalition for Positive Impact, a youth-centric social enterprise based in the northern regions of Ghana, to introduce our programs, especially our Females in Business and Tertiary Scholars programs.
To kickstart our partnership, GEIG is partnering with CPI on the Igniting Dreams program. Igniting Dreams (ID) is an annual entrepreneurship development program that provides business development training, mentorship, and startup capital for young entrepreneurs in underserved Northern Ghana, where poverty, inequality, and unemployment have been entrenched for generations.
Since 2019, over 1,700 young individuals across all 5 regions in Northern Ghana have participated in this program. Forty brilliant young entrepreneurs have also received seed capital to grow their businesses, resulting in over 300 job opportunities for unemployed youth.
The Fellowship provides business development training to selected young entrepreneurs from underserved Northern Ghana. These fellows are budding entrepreneurs between the ages of 15-35 with a burning desire to build world-class businesses and create a positive impact in their communities.
This year, 20 brilliant young entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in a 3-month hybrid fellowship that is climaxed with a 1-week boot camp in Wa, Ghana.
The purpose of the fellowship is to help the selected entrepreneurs refine their business models, develop their theory of change, and set their businesses up for profitability and growth.
We look forward to your support of GEIG's next decade of impact and our expansion across Ghana and Africa. Thank you for investing in our journey.
