Gift of Life Foundation a Rotary Program of District 7490 (GOLD7490) is a 501(c) non profit organization based in Bergen County, New Jersey. The mission of this Foundation is to help bring kids and young adults to New JerseyNew York to have open heart surgeries and Cath lab procedures. Due to the demand and limited number of patients we bring to the US, GOLD7490 expanded its program by doing medical surgical missions to countries like Bolivia, Peru, Kosovo, Ukraine, Myanmar, Vietnam and the Philippines.
From February 2-14, 2020, a group of medical professionals from New Jersey, New York, Texas, Washington, Florida and Canada are joining forces to volunteer their time, talent and travel to perform approx 32 open heart surgeries and cath lab procedures in the Bicol region of the Philippines. This project is in partnership between Gift of Life Foundation (GOLD7490), BRTTH (Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital) and the local Rotary Club of Legazpi West.
In addition to the surgical and cath lab procedures, free heart screening will be conducted in the community.
