The Great Sober October Challenge
I know, Sober for October ... frightening!
Support a great cause and challenge yourself to skip that Quarantini or glass of wine for a month.
Here is how it works:
Commit to a month of being sober or sort of sober.
Confirm your commitment by making a donation to the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center. Suggested donation is $50 but any amount that makes you feel committed works.
And, to make it less scary, you can buy a day .... or days ... off! For a fee (donation) of $15.00, you can take a day off from sobriety. (Note, there are 5 Saturdays in October-- including Halloween). So if you know you will need a day off each week, why not add that to your initial commitment?
By not drinking for a month, we may all save lots of $$$. Consider donating some or all of what you save to Outreach.
A note about the Gerald Ryan Outreach: Noelle Campbell and our brave and fearless staff have been providing daily food and services throughout the pandemic but our resources are fast depleting. Because of the shut down and uncertainty, we cancelled our primary fund raiser this year (our annual golf outing) and, frankly, we are struggling.
Join me in the challenge to Go Sober for October for our health and in support of our neighbors in need.
