GENES Foundation wishes you a Happy 2022!!!
As we all know, the last two years have been a challenge for us all. Being a non-profit foundation, GENES
has strived to persevere in its goal of providing inclusion projects to benefit families with member(s)
diagnosed with a genetic condition. It has been a difficult task, yet we have managed to make it
happen.
In January, the month where World Day to Fight Depression is celebrated, it is important to emphasize
that people with genetic conditions are extremely vulnerable to emotional struggles due to lack of
socialization. We would like to continue to provide opportunities in 2022 so that our members can
socialize, learn new skills, with the goal of becoming more independent contributors to society, and to
create spaces where their families can meet others facing similar challenges. The programs we would
like to continue running are as follow: GENES Dance Group, our program for the development of skills
to become microentrepreneurs, Inclusion Fashion Show, online/in-person Art workshops, integration
activities, and group therapies with professional mediators.
Today we are asking for your support in order to be able to continue with our goals. Fundraising
opportunities have been limited due to our inability to gather given COVID restrictions and the medical
conditions of many of our members. Your financial support will ensure that our foundation continues to
provide our members a “space” where they can become the best version of themselves.

Como todos hemos experimentado, estos dos últimos anos han sido un desafío completo. Siendo una fundación sin ánimo de lucro, hemos tratado de sobrevivir y ser creativos para poder conseguir los fondos que necesitamos para seguir con nuestros proyectos de inclusión y red de apoyo a familias cuyo alguno de sus miembros haya sido diagnosticados con una condicion genetica. Pero ha sido una tarea difícil y necesitamos de tu apoyo hoy.
Sobre todo, para continuar con actividades donde nuestros muchachos puedan socializar, aprender nuevas habilidades con el ánimo de hacerlos más independientes que les brinde un sentimiento de contribución a la sociedad y creando espacios en donde sus familias puedan conocer a otros enfrentando los mismos retos. Justo en este mes de enero donde se celebra el día mundial de la lucha contra la depresión, es importante recalcar que las personas con condiciones genéticas son supremamente vulnerables a problemas emocionales debido a la falta de socialización. Por eso en GENES seguimos innovando con programas que nos permitan seguir nuestra misión, a pesar de los retos.

- Grupo de Danza GENES
- Programa de Desarrollo de habilidades para ser microempresarios
- Fashion Show
- Talleres de arte
- Campamentos de actividades deportivas al aire libre
- Actividades de integración con niños y muchachos que no tengan condiciones genéticas
- Grupos de terapia emocional con mediadores expertos
