Gavin R Kenney Foundation

The Gavin R. Kenney Memorial Scholarship created by members of the Norwell High Class of 2025 to honor their dear classmate, Gavin R. Kenney ‘25, who passed away in 2022. The scholarship is designed to celebrate the values that Gavin embodied so well – humor, friendliness, and compassion – which serve as essential tools for fostering positive change in our community.

During his time with us, Gavin brought laughter and joy to his family and friends. His sense of humor, kind heart, and unwavering support made an indelible impact on all of us. While Gavin had many athletic and intellectual talents, it is his kind nature that we cherish and miss the most. He reminds us that, through friendship and humor, we can face life’s challenges together. This scholarship will serve as a lasting tribute to his memory and it will be awarded to Seniors of Norwell High School who are not only academically driven but also embody the spirit of camaraderie and kindness. The goal is to fund The Gavin R. Kenney Memorial Scholarship for at least the next 10 years. The scholarship amount will depend on the endowment. At this point, friends of Gavin in the senior class will be asking for donations and coordinating fundraisers toward this effort. A donation in any amount is truly appreciated. The Gavin R. Kenney Foundation, with the objective to fund the Scholarship in Gavin’s name in perpetuity, will match all monies raised.
