Gatesway's Path to Independence
The Gatesway Foundation is a non-profit organization in Oklahoma that encourages independent living and provides career opportunities, housing and support to people with intellectual disabilities.
Gatesway provides housing and employment facilities on site. However, in order to provide safe access to the employment and gym facilities from the housing units, they need to build a 5 ½-foot x 300-foot walkway that is wheelchair accessible. To the approximately 244 residents who receive benefits from Gatesway, this walkway is more than cement to them. It’s their path to independence and continuing to live a fulfilling and productive life.
In conjunction with the Gatesway Foundation, Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply, a family-owned supplier of irrigation, landscape and outdoor living products in the Tulsa area, is seeking $4,500 to build this cement pathway.
Ewing is a proud supporter of this community and is working to help create a better living environment for our friends at Gatesway. Gatesway and Ewing believe in the abilities of all people and we’re looking for a way to continue helping them maintain their quality of life.
