On October 23rd it will be 10 years since our mother passed away. Next to her children animals were her biggest love with her pets and grand pets taking top spot. To honor her memory we would like to collect donations in our moms honor for furkid rescue.

FurKid Rescue is a 501c local non profit who since 2008 have placed more than 2,000 animals into loving homes including Ryan’s two dogs Vinny and Stevie.

We will cover the fees assocIated with go fund me so 100% of your donation will go to furkid to helping rescue and provide medical attention to animals in need.

We will also be accepting donations of:

* Gently used dog supplies including crates, leashes, collars, bedding, and coats.

* Gas cards (used to transport dogs from other cities to Pgh) and Petco cards.

* Blankets/ sheets

Hi friends!

Furkid Rescue is a Pittsburgh based animal rescue who has spent the last 15 years taking 3000+ dogs and cats from death row to happy homes. We thought our search for a vehicle was over when a good Samaritan donated a GMC Yukon. Sadly, after we invested $2000 into safety repairs, not only did we find out it was not reliable, but the newly replaced transmission failed after only a month and a half. Given that the rescue is a 100% volunteer and foster rescue, access to a reliable vehicle is essential to bringing furkids to their foster homes as well as to their forever homes for visits and those wonderful adoption days. In addition, the rescue also drives long distances to pick up death row animals from down south to be cared for and to have a chance for a better life in a loving home.

We have tried to find another donated vehicle but have come up empty handed. We are now forced to raise funds to purchase a reliable, safe vehicle. The rescue has many animals to find a home for right now so the number of needed local and long-distance transports is quite high.
