Help Save Orianna Hill Park For Our Dog Friends
Dear Fellow Animal Lovers & Park Enthusiasts,
We need your help to keep Orianna Hill Park safe for all dogs!
Our park is facing a critical situation as the Philadelphia Water Department will shut off our water access permanently if we don't install a backflow preventer. Without running water, we risk losing our beloved garden, and dogs won't have access to clean water during the upcoming scorching summer months.
As a non-profit that relies solely on donations, we urgently need your support. We are calling upon all dog owners and park lovers to help us reach our goal and keep our member-funded park safe and enjoyable for all. By donating just $1, less than a cup of coffee, you can make a significant impact and help us reach our fundraising goal!
Our fundraiser will cover the $10,000 cost to do the following work:
- Labor & Parts including:
- Permit with City of Philadelphia for construction
- Dig up the garden and locate water line feeding rear frost free faucet
- Cut out section of water line & loop to the above ground and back to the line
- Supply & install new tee for new frost free hydrant to stand outside of new hot box
- City inspection, backfill & tamp
- Prep area, set forms, and pour new concrete pad to hold new hot box
- Supply & install new watts RPZ, ball valves, and copper unions for winter removal
- Handle paperwork for PWD upon completion
For over 20 years, Orianna Hill has been a place of relaxation and companionship for both dogs and their owners. We have welcomed thousands of furry friends and their humans, and we want to continue to do so for many years to come. Your contribution will help us install the necessary backflow preventer and ensure the longevity of our park.
